The dead internet theory is a very nihilistic way to look at the world, or at least, the internet. I understand that it is very unlikely that many grown adults genuinely believe that everyone on the internet has disappeared and that all of the internet is a graveyard for what once was, that creative and interesting people have been thrown out the window entirely in replacement for robots. I do believe, however, that there are in fact a lot of bots and AI online, but that it shows the way that the internet is a constantly evolving and dying beast. Websites and social media is a mobile home, you go somewhere, pick up, and leave. The internet was not a utopia in the early 2000’s or has become a wasteland in the current time. People who genuinely want to create, people that genuinely want to share, learn, do, teach, still exist. They always will, no matter how hard it gets. The internet is not dead, creativity is not dead.
